Rekhta Mushaira 2024 brings eleven poets together for an evening of romance, heartbreak, humour and social reflection. Recorded on 14 December 2024 in New Delhi, this full mushaira captures the exchanges between poets and an audience that responds to every turn of thought.
Charagh Sharma hosts the gathering, featuring Atul Ajnabi, Obaid Azam Azmi, Ajay Sahaab, Charan Singh Bashar, Popular Meeruthi, Malka Naseem, Dr. Abdullah, Tahir Faraz, Shamim Abbas and Hasan Kamal.
Hear Tahir Faraz recite "Bahut Khoobsurat Ho Tum", Popular Meeruthi find comedy in everyday relationships, and Malka Naseem speak about women’s dignity. Ajay Sahaab questions mob judgement, while Charan Singh Bashar presents love as an answer to hatred. Dr. Abdullah explores comfort, freedom and inequality through short nazms. Shamim Abbas challenges pretence, and Hasan Kamal closes with spiritual reflection and Dua.
