kamar-e-yār hai bārīkī se ġhā.eb har chand
magar itnā to kahūñgā ki vo ma.adūm nahīñ
kamar-e-yar hai bariki se ghaeb har chand
magar itna to kahunga ki wo madum nahin
nazar kisī ko vo mū-e-kamar nahīñ aatā

tumhaare log kahte hain kamar hai

zulfeñ siina naaf kamar
ek nadī meñ kitne bhañvar
zulfen sina naf kamar
ek nadi mein kitne bhanwar
