aur paañv ke nīche duur talak
schōl ko jaatā rasta thā
vo afsar banñā chāhtā thā

ġhurbat ne use majbūr kiyā
yuuñ paḌhne se vo duur huā
phir paañv se raste ruuTh ga.e

ghurbat ne use majbur kiya
yun paDhne se wo dur hua
phir panw se raste ruTh gae
aur hath se baste chhuT gae
