تھی ان کے در پہ لٹانی سنبھال کر رکھی
تھی ان کے در پہ لٹانی سنبھال کر رکھی
متاع اشک پرانی سنبھال کر رکھی
کہ ایک دن اسے آقا کی نعت ہونا تھا
غزل نے اپنی جوانی سنبھال کر رکھی
وہ نعت جس سے مہکتی ہے شب کی تنہائی
وہ نعت رات کی رانی سنبھال کر رکھی
حضور آپ کی مدحت کے واسطے میں نے
یہ حرف حرف روانی سنبھال کر رکھی
ظہیرؔ ریش مبارک کا احترام کیا
حضور کی یہ نشانی سنبھال کر رکھی
