ادھر تو دار پر رکھا ہوا ہے
ادھر تو دار پر رکھا ہوا ہے
ادھر پیروں میں سر رکھا ہوا ہے
کم از کم اس سراب آرزو نے
مری آنکھوں کو تر رکھا ہوا ہے
سمجھتے کیا ہو ہم کو شہر والو
بیاباں میں بھی گھر رکھا ہوا ہے
ہم اچھا مال تو بالکل نہیں ہیں
ہمیں کیوں باندھ کر رکھا ہوا ہے
مرے حالات کو بس یوں سمجھ لو
پرندے پر شجر رکھا ہوا ہے
جہالت سے گزارہ کر رہا ہوں
کتابوں میں ہنر رکھا ہوا ہے
