क़सम इस आग और पानी की
क़सम इस आग और पानी की
मौत अच्छी है बस जवानी की
और भी हैं रिवायतें लेकिन
इक रिवायत है ख़ूँ-फ़िशानी की
जिसे अंजाम तुम समझती हो
इब्तिदा है किसी कहानी की
रंज की रेत है किनारों पर
मौज गुज़री थी शादमानी की
चूम लीं मेरी उँगलियाँ 'सरवत'
उस ने इतनी तो मेहरबानी की
