اور پھر پوری کائنات بنا
حسن نے خود کہا مصور سے
پاؤں پر میرے کوئی ہاتھ بنا
پیاس کی سلطنت نہیں مٹتی
لاکھ دجلے بنا فرات بنا
غم کا سورج وہ دے گیا تجھ کو
چاہے اب دن بنا کہ رات بنا
شعر اک مشغلہ تھا قاصرؔ کا
اب یہی مقصد حیات بنا
