جن دنوں غم زیادہ ہوتا ہے
جن دنوں غم زیادہ ہوتا ہے
آنکھ میں نم زیادہ ہوتا ہے
کچھ تو حساس ہم زیادہ ہیں
کچھ وہ برہم زیادہ ہوتا ہے
درد دل کا بھی کوئی ٹھیک نہیں
خود بخود کم زیادہ ہوتا ہے
سب سے پہلے انہیں جھکاتے ہیں
جن میں دم خم زیادہ ہوتا ہے
قیس پر ظلم تو ہوا باصرؔ
پھر بھی ماتم زیادہ ہوتا ہے
