tere pichhe hogi duniya pagal ban

yun apni pyas ki KHud hi kahani likh rahe the hum

ye shoKHiyan ye jawani kahan se laen hum

kash ki main bhi hota patthar

koi misal nahin hai teri misal ke baad

teri nigah-e-naz se chhuTe hue daraKHt

dekho mere jaisi haalat hoti hai

KHud apne KHun mein pahle nahaya jata hai

marham ke nahin hain ye taraf-dar namak ke

apna kirdar bachane mein lahu lagta hai

duniya mein jo miThe dariya hote hain

farebi shirin ziyaada zahin logon se

ghazal ki chahaton ashaar ki jagir wale hain

sukun se raat bitate the mauj karte the

apne bachchon se pal pal ke dukh

isi liye to musafir tu sogwar nahin

kahin na aisa ho apna waqar kha jae

zahin aap ke dar par sadaen dete rahe
