ye kaj-adai ye ghamza tera kabhi phir yar!

har ek chiz mayassar siwae bosa hai

bewafa tha to nahin wo, magar aisa bhi hua

teri judai mein ye dil bahut dukhi to nahin

bahut se dard the par KHud ko joD kar rakkha

teri aankhon ko tere husn ka dar jaana tha

tu mujhko chahta hai is mughaalte mein rahun

is qadar ghaur se dekha hai sarapa us ka

sag-e-jamal hun gardan se bandh kar le ja

badan ko wajd tere be-hisab-o-had aae

pul-e-siraat na tha dasht-e-nainawa bhi na tha

wo sair-e-gul ke waste aa hi nahin raha

jo sans sans sahi us saza ka nam na lo

banhon mein yar ho, koi fursat ki sham ho

dikhai deti hai jo shakl wo bani hi na ho

KHuda hua na koi aur hi gawah hua

pahlu-e-ghair mein dukh-dard samone na diya

us par nigah phirti rahi aur dur dur

taDap bhi hai meri aur bais-e-sukun bhi hai

nigah ki shoala-fazai ko kam hai did uski

ye kaisi aaya-e-moajiz-numa nikal aai

radd-o-kad ke bhi baad rah jae

isi KHayal se dil ki rafu-gari nahin ki

tha magar itna ziyaada to junun-KHez na tha

KHair ki nazr ki hai ya shar ki

mansab-e-ishq se kuchh ohda-bara main hi hua

dil ko tumhaare ranj ki parwa bahut rahi

ek roz ye sar-rishta-e-idrak jala dun

rang se rasta surat se pata leta hun

qarar dida-o-dil mein raha nahin hai bahut

jo ho saka nahin darpesh use banata hua

faqat qayam ka matlab guzar-basar koi hai
