सहर को हस्ब-ए-ज़रूरत वो रात कहते हैं
सियाने लोग हैं मतलब की बात कहते हैं
भले ही लाख हवालों के साथ कहते हैं
मगर वो सिर्फ़ किताबों की बात कहते हैं
चलो चलो न चलो ख़ुद-ब-ख़ुद है कट जाता
'अजब सफ़र है ये जिस को हयात कहते हैं
मिटा वजूद ही अपना तो क्या करेंगे इसे
जिसे ये अहल-ए-तसव्वुफ़ नजात कहते हैं
ये बे-रुख़ी से तो तेरी हज़ार बेहतर हैं
तिरी जफ़ाओं को हम इल्तिफ़ात कहते हैं
तू देख देख न देख ऐ 'सदा' दिखेगा ज़रूर
वो रास्ता जिसे राह-ए-सिरात कहते हैं
