koī phuul sā haath kāñdhe pe thā
mire paañv sho.aloñ pe jalte rahe
sunā hai unheñ bhī havā lag ga.ī
havāoñ ke jo ruḳh badalte rahe
vo kyā thā jise ham ne Thukrā diyā
magar umr bhar haath malte rahe
mohabbat adāvat vafā be-ruḳhī
kirā.e ke ghar the badalte rahe
lipaT kar charāġhoñ se vo so ga.e
jo phūloñ pe karvaT badalte rahe

mere panw shoalon pe jalte rahe
suna hai unhen bhi hawa lag gai

wo kya tha jise hum ne Thukra diya
