tā-'umr ham ko us se hī shikve gile rahe
ham ek nā-murād sī ḳhvāhish ke muntazir
jholī meñ aa.ī ne'mateñ bhī jhāḌte rahe
masrūf kar diyā hameñ hassāsiyat ne dost
chhoTī se baat der talak sochte rahe
ik shaḳhs terī diid se labrez ho gayā
ik ham jo sirf raah tirī dekhte rahe

jholi mein aai ne'maten bhi jhaDte rahe
masruf kar diya hamein hassasiyat ne dost

ek hum jo sirf rah teri dekhte rahe
