chand is ghar ke darichon ke barabar aaya
chāñd us ghar ke darīchoñ ke barābar aayā
dil-e-mushtāq Thahar jā vahī manzar aayā
maiñ bahut ḳhush thā kaḌī dhuup ke sannāTe meñ
kyuuñ tirī yaad kā bādal mire sar par aayā
bujh ga.ī raunaq-e-parvāna to mahfil chamkī
so ga.e ahl-e-tamannā to sitamgar aayā
yaar sab jam.a hue raat kī ḳhāmoshī meñ
koī ro kar to koī baal banā kar aayā

kyun teri yaad ka baadal mere sar par aaya
bujh gai raunaq-e-parwana to mahfil chamki

yar sab jama hue raat ki KHamoshi mein
koi ro kar to koi baal bana kar aaya
