अपने हमराह जो आते हो इधर से पहले
दश्त पड़ता है मियाँ इश्क़ में घर से पहले
चल दिए उठ के सू-ए-शहर-ए-वफ़ा कू-ए-हबीब
पूछ लेना था किसी ख़ाक-बसर से पहले
इश्क़ पहले भी किया हिज्र का ग़म भी देखा
इतने तड़पे हैं न घबराए न तरसे पहले
जी बहलता ही नहीं अब कोई साअ'त कोई पल
रात ढलती ही नहीं चार पहर से पहले
हम किसी दर पे न ठिटके न कहीं दस्तक दी
सैकड़ों दर थे मिरी जाँ तिरे दर से पहले
चाँद से आँख मिली जी का उजाला जागा
हम को सौ बार हुई सुब्ह सहर से पहले
