amanat mein KHayanat ho rahi hai

bas ek zara KHayal hamein dosti ka hai

ishq mein tere jangal bhi ghar lagte hain

zaban ne jo bhi kaha arz-e-haal thoDi hai

koi KHwab hai na KHayal hai ye ajib surat-e-haal hai

tera mizaj ho barham ye kab gawara hai

dil ko taza malal kaise ho

wo jinko KHub tha apne hunar ka andaza

malal dil mein kisi dard ka nahin rakhna

jahan bhi zulm-o-takabbur misal hota hai

hawa-e-mast ne kanon mein kuchh kaha hai kya

safar mein KHak hue karwan banate hue

main tere hijr-zada mausamon ki zad mein hun

KHud se juda hue to kahin ke nahin rahe

mere suKHan ko anokhe kamal deta hai

sada-e-mehr-o-mohabbat lagane aae hain

raat tanhai be-qarari hai

aadha jiwan dard mein kaTa aadha KHak uDane mein

ab tera zulm-o-sitam bar hua jata hai

hain hamin dard ki shiddat se nikhaare hue log

hawa-e-mast ne kanon mein kuchh kaha hai kya

wo KHauf tha ki jise KHamushi mein dekha gaya

phir na shikwe na kuchh gile likkhe

KHud se juda hue to kahin ke nahin rahe

wo intizar ki dahliz ho gain aankhen

dasht-e-be-nawai mein faKHr-e-kaj-kulahi kya

sarKHushi jit ki yunhi nahin tari hui hai

du’a-e-nim-shabi ke asar mein zinda hun

qarya-e-jaan muztarib to hai magar KHamosh hai
