achchhe din kab aaenge

labon par yunhi si hansi bhej de

aur bazar se kya le jaun

din ek ke baad ek guzarte hue bhi dekh

dhup ne guzarish ki

aag pani se Darta hua main hi tha

munh-zabani quran paDhte the

sardi mein din sard mila

sharife ke daraKHton mein chhupa ghar dekh leta hun

main apna nam tere jism par likha dekhun

kyun na mahken gulab aankhon mein

kuchh to is dil ko saza di jae

safar mein sochte rahte hain chhanw aae kahin

din mein pariyan kyun aati hain

koi mausam ho bhale lagte the

dhup mein sab rang gahre ho gae

kal raat suni chhat pe ajab saneha hua

hazaron lakhon dilli mein makan hain

yun to kam kam thi mohabbat uski

gulon ke darmiyan achchhi lagi hain

abhi to aur bhi din barishon ke aane the

kitna hasin tha tu kabhi kuchh KHayal kar

ek laDka tha ek laDki thi

kabhi to aisa bhi ho rah bhul jaun main

is shahr mein kahin pe hamara makan bhi ho

sochte rahte hain aksar raat mein

aankh mein dahshat na thi hath mein KHanjar na tha

kya kahte kya ji mein tha

office mein bhi ghar ko khula pata hun main

sach hai ki wo bura tha har ek se laDa kiya

sher to sab kahte hain kya hai

achanak teri yaad ka silsila

tisri aankh khulegi to dikhai dega

sukhane baal hi koThe pe aa gae hote

dukh ka ehsas na mara jae

aaya hai ek shaKHs ajab aan-ban ka

raat paDe ghar jaana hai

din bhar ke dahakte hue suraj se laDa hun

raat ke munh par ujala chahiye

har ek jhonka nukila ho gaya hai

irada hai kisi jangal mein ja rahunga main

aur koi chaara na tha aur koi surat na thi

ab ke barsat mein pani aae

dawa koi kya kaam likhun

use na dekh ke dekha to kya mila mujhko

girah mein rishwat ka mal rakhiye

zamin kahin bhi na thi chaar-su samundar tha

sach kahan kahta hai jaane wala

zamin logon se Dar gai hai
