tishna-lab dasht mein yun log satae gae the

hum jo is shahr mein anjaan hue jate hain

shab-e-firaq kuchh aisa tha iztirab ka rang

jahan-e-wahshat ke kar-KHane mein kaun kar-e-junun karega

shahr-e-dil kash ki ek shahr-e-tamanna hota

kuchh to is dasht-e-gum-asar ki virani se

jaane kya jurm tha jis ki ye saza di gai hai
