ये शब-ए-‘ऐश ये लम्हात अलग
और किसी मोड़ पे वो घात अलग
चीख़ने वाला हर इक लफ़्ज़ जुदा
कान में कहने की हर बात अलग
दिन हुआ करते थे कुछ और ही दिन
रात होती थी हर इक रात अलग
ये तो वो हैं जो अभी तक झेले
और जो होंगे वो सदमात अलग
अब भी गर हो सके तो बाँध के रख
रेशमी दूब से जज़्बात अलग
